Permanent Lighting in Isle of Palms & Sullivan's Island

Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island are beach houses first: raised homes on pilings along Front Beach and the ocean side of Sullivan's, the larger properties inside Wild Dunes, and cottages and rebuilt homes on the interior streets. The back sides of both islands face the Intracoastal, and a lot of those homes have a dock. We work on all of it.

Salt air is the question here. The channel is aluminum, so it does not rust, the run is sealed against water, and it is fastened to the fascia rather than clipped to a gutter. A raised house takes a taller ladder and more time, and that is in the quote. Wild Dunes has architectural review, and we help with the paperwork.

For homes on the Intracoastal side we light the dock too: the walkway out, the pierhead, piling caps and a covered slip, on the same app as the roofline. Boats going by at night will know which house is yours.

The bigger reason permanent lighting makes sense on a barrier island is storm season. There is nothing to take down and nothing to put back up. If wind or a limb ever does damage a section, that is what the warranty and our service visits are for.
